Version 2.5 of Screen Snapp™ for BlackBerry 10 has been released at BlackBerry World including the Free Trial version. This new release comes with a number of improvements, additions and minor fixes.

Here’s what’s new in v2.5:

• Added the option for the OS to open images with Screen Snapp.
• Improved user-interface and general layout.
• Improved screen capture technology.
• Added option to enable or disable hub notifications.
• Improved instant preview notifications.
• Improved the busy indicator when processing an image.
• Added translations for the following languages: Arabic, French, Indonesian, Italian, Spanish, Vietnamese.
• Improved screen layout to accommodate new languages.
• Added splash screen when loading the app.
• Improved update process for app and background service.
• Improved communication between app and background service.
• Other minor fixes, improvements and optimizations.

Version 2.4 of Screen Snapp™ for BlackBerry 10 has been released at BlackBerry World with with the addition of a Free Trial version.

If you don’t yet have Screen Snapp, you can now try out the free trial first.

Changes in version 2.4:

• Enable user to rate the app.
• Improved background service detection.
• Minor user interface improvements.
• Minor bug fixes and optimizations.

Version 2.3 of Screen Snapp™ for BlackBerry 10 has been released at BlackBerry World with support for the new BlackBerry Passport device.

Changes in version 2.3:

• Added support for the new BlackBerry Passport device.
• Provided the option to edit screenshots using the default Picture Editor.
• Other minor improvements.

Version 2.2 of Screen Snapp™ for BlackBerry 10 has been released at BlackBerry World.

This update brings about some screen capture improvements and Enterprise compatibility. So Screen Snapp can now be installed and used in the personal and/or work space, on devices with BlackBerry Balance.

Here’s what’s new in v2.2:

• Improved screenshot capture efficiency.
• Optimized and improved lock screen capture.
• Reintroduced screen capture formats. Supports PNG (recommended) or JPEG.
• Added enterprise compatibility, for separate installations between personal and work spaces.

Version 2.1 of Screen Snapp for BlackBerry 10 has been released at BlackBerry World.
This update contains some important bug fixes.

Here’s what’s fixed in v2.1:

• Fixed a bug where loading certain non-screenshot images would crash the app.
• Fixed a bug that prevented music from playing after the screen was locked.
• Fixed a bug that would crash the app if the “Run in Background” permission wasn’t granted.

Version 2.0 of Screen Snapp™ for BlackBerry 10 has been released at BlackBerry World.

Screen Snapp™ v2.0 now has full background service (headless) support, so that it can continue to run in the background when the app is closed or the device is restarted.

The option to run in the background can be switched on or off in the Settings menu.

Note: For full background service (headless) support you need to be running BlackBerry 10.2.1 or above.

Version 1.5 of Screen Snapp for BlackBerry 10 has been released at BlackBerry World.

Here’s what’s new in v1.5:

• Enabled screen capture of the lock screen.
• Added a settings menu for customizations.
• Capture screenshots in different image formats. Supports PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP.
• Convert between image formats after the screenshot has been captured.
• Option to have the app minimized automatically when started.
• Allow storage directory for screen shots to be changed to a different location.
• Simplified edit saves and added a “Save As…” option.
• Improved icons, instructions and background.
• Other minor bug fixes and improvements.

Screen Snapp for BlackBerry 10 is now available on BlackBerry World.
